Something amazing happened to me at work a few days ago. In my office I strive to limit patient wait times (the time people spend in the waiting room). Most of the time this wait period is very small or non-existent. A few days ago we happened to have quite a few walk-ins right when we had a full schedule and the waiting room was packed. I scurried along as I usually do and I always apologize when people wait, even if it's only a minute or two. What surprised me was the overwhelming response that I received from many of those patients. Instead of being upset for having to wait, at least four people made it a point to tell me how happy they were to see how busy I was. This shocked me. I'm so grateful that the people I serve want me to succeed. I hope that means I'm doing something right.
