Today is a beautiful summer day in Michigan. On days like this the warm sunshine reminds me of the summers of my youth. I can picture running through the sprinklers with my friends in the neighborhood. Now as a father, I get to watch my children enjoy that same experience and i'm able to be a part of it. I get to run and play with them, slide on the 'slip n slide', and take turns chasing each other with the hose.
I can do these things because I make my health a priority. Every day I make decisions involving my health that will have a lasting impact. The food that I eat is a choice, and it impacts the way my body develops and fights disease. My fitness regimen is planned to impose a constant demand on my body and make efficient use of oxygen. I receive Chiropractic care because I know that my body cannot function at 100% without having a nervous system that is free of interference. My family and friends are the last piece of the puzzle. The relationships that we surround ourselves with have a great impact on our overall health. My children are my medicine and my wife and friends keep me laughing and keep me focused. For this, i'm lucky...and i'm thankful.

Jake Brown, D.C.
